AD COUNCIL TO LAUNCH NEW YOUTH RECKLESS DRIVING PREVENTION CAMPAIGN

WHAT:

The Ad Council is launching a new public service campaign to prevent youth reckless driving. The goal of the UR the Spokesperson campaign is to empower young adults to speak up when they are in the car with friends and don’t feel safe.

WHY:

Car crashes are the number one killer of teens in the U.S. Nearly 8,000 teens are involved in fatal crashes each year, more than 3,500 are killed and more than 300,000 are injured. Young drivers are involved in more than five times as many fatal crashes as adults.
